Comfort.

I usually slip on any pair of shoes to take the clothes off the line. Wether it be my brothers thongs that are sitting at the back door or the pair of heels i wore out last night that I dumped on my bedroom floor before crashing into bed. Any shoe will do, as long as my feet are protected from the gravel below the clothes line.

Todays choice of shoe was the pair of crocs I bought years ago for rowing and sailing. As we are all aware, Crocs are a bit of a fashion failure and that no real fashionista would want to be seen public wearing them. But despite the style taboo that crocs are, there is a certain level of comfort that sets them apart from your ordinary flip flop or sandal. While unpegging my parents underpants and resting my feet on the soft rubbery material below them my mind pondered about how fashionable is fashion if its not comfortable.

How attractive is picking a wedgie every five minutes,  adjusting your skirt because it keeps riding up or tugging on your shirt every time you feel a breeze over your midriff. Or how about low riding jeans that reveal a little crack every time you bend over. Think thats attractive? Because I don't. Too often do I see people in the latest fashion hiking up their jeans and stopping to fix their shoe. Those glamorous new pair of heels look amazing until the girl starts complaining about how much pain she is in and her foot starts bleeding from blisters. Lets face it, our clothes look just as awkward as it feels to wear them.

Personally if somethings feels comfortable to wear then my confidence grows too. I don't have to be conscious about constantly adjusting my clothing. It just feels better and looks better. So heres some advice. When shopping for clothes or shoes always make sure its comfortable and hassle free. Even if it means going with the size up or buying the more expensive one. You won't regret it in the end. Heck, I will never regret buying that pair of crocs =P
