If I could have any super power in the word...

I'd have the ability to summon robots.

to break it down:

I'd have a spiritual connection with another world; a robot world. My ability would be to open a gate between the two worlds and bring a robot from the other world into my world. The robot would then be used in aid in battles against evil or to help in super hero tasks. Or if I need help cooking breakfast or reaching something on a high shelf.

The robot can perform fusion mode where the robot can be equipped as a weapon or armour attachment .

However, there are some limits to this power. These include:
  • Only one summon at a time
  • Can only be summoned for a maximum 30 mins. (Robots have lives too)
  • Robots do not have to follow orders (be nice to your robot and it will be nice to you)
  • Summons can cause fatigue. Too many summons a day can cause exhaustion.
my inspiration for this power came from several places. The first place being the manga Fairytail. A character called Lucy has a summoning magic that allows her to open gates to spirit worlds. My favourite thing about it is that she makes up a contracts with her summons and arranges days of the week she can summon them.

Next inspiration came from Flcl. That show is straight up weird but the robots are cool as! and They kinda just come out of nowhere... well out of that kids head...

Here's a preview of my super suit.

On a side note. I hate spoilers.

A Learning process

As its September now, my gap year is coming to an end. Typically, I've left uni applications to very late. Sometimes I wish applying were as easy and googling the places you're interested in. But I figure i need some more skills before applying to uni. So today I tried learning something I'd been meaning to learn all year!

I tried to learn how to use Adobe Flash.  Its probably the most challenging thing I've tried in a long time. My goal was to learn how to program a button that when you clicked with your mouse, it would take you to the next frame. Probably the most basic of functions on flash.

I think my biggest problem was not being able to understand what each function did. I was following a step by step tutorial I found online. Although it told me what to do with each step, it didn't explain in detail why I needed to do the step.

For example, I kept having to convert the frame into a keyframe or a blank keyframe. I'm still unsure as to what a keyframe is and the difference between a blank keyframe and a keyframe. I also don't know why its important but I am sure it is. =S

But despite that, the tutorial was still very helpful. I think I just need to get the hang of it. So I'll try again later.

Aside from that, I found an old drawing I started this year and I decided to finish it today. To be honest... its not a very good drawing... at all. But I figure my portfolio needs some expanding and I could use some more colouring practise.  Here's a preview of the final product ~ FYI its Captain Jack Harkness

I'm feeling productive today! I think its time to learn how to make wedding cake icing :)

Dig in the dirt and you might find some gold

While cleaning my room today I came across a few interesting things from a long time ago. I found an old poem I had written back in primary school.

The wind blows through the trees,
and comes by me is a simple breeze.
I then freeze and turn into ice,
and trust me it isn't very nice.
I then wait until winter goes,
and then the ice melts including my nose!
I then melt and turn into a melted body,
then I wait for autumn to come
so I can be fixed by Nody.
I turn back into my normal self,
then I become friends with pickle the elf.
Pickle the elf turn out to be a fraud
Then he turns me into ash with his mighty sword
I then died with great regret
I wish that pickle and I never met

On the left there are a few illustrations to go with the poem. A basket ball, a tree in the breeze, someone frozen and a melted body.

Apart from the poem, I found 5 pairs of 3D glasses, a lot of stationery and some old photos. It felt really good to go through my old things and chuck out some junk, I should really do it more often. In doing so, I decided I'm going to do some redecorating as well!

My room has a deep aqua green colour on its walls and is decorated with hot pink curtains and trinkets.  On the floor there is a cream colour carpet with a hot pink Little mermaid rug.
My bed is a queen double with a silver frame and a love heart detail. Its quite high off the ground.
On one wall is a built in roller door cupboard with lots of poster. The wall opposite has a large window reaching the floor. I also have white fairy lights running across the top of two walls.

I intend to change a few things. I have a round tub that is posing as a bedside table at the moment. I'm going to add some cushioning and put a new cover on it and turn it into a little seat.  I also want to paint the inside of my cupboard hot pink and leave the shelving white but only if my parents let me >.< I'll also be getting a new desktop computer very soon so I have to create some space for that. I'll probably take some photos when all the re-decorating is done!

And on a more random note, my favourite food at the moment is cheesecake. So much so, that when people tell me they don't like it I get offended on behalf of the cheesecake. I think I know how it feels now when I tell people that i am vegetarian and I don't like meat.

New Look, New Attitude!

Revamped my blog! Its more pink than ever!

I've decided that blogging will become a more regular thing for me. I'm not the most fluent person when its comes to writing but hopefully I'll have something interesting to say. And if not, there will always be pictures.

So what can you expect to see in the future?

I've decided to use this blog as a creative outlet. Somewhere I can throw ideas at so that people can see and discuss them. Kinda like an online scrapbook but awesome.

I'm a little bit artsy. So I'll be sharing lots of sketches/drawings/scribbles. This will mainly be all the crazy art things I do that don't quite make it to my deviant art page | www.superjade74.deviantart.com |

I'm a little bit stylish. But only a really little bit. I like clothes and fashion and so you might see some of my shopping habbits appear every now and then in a shopping adventure style blog entry.

I'm a little bit sporty. I like to play sport! Especially volleyball... so yeah I might blog about that too.

I'm very hungry. All the time! I love food so i might post a picture of something I ate. Because if it tastes good then its worth sharing!

You most certainly will not see any moaning/moping/cry for attention blog posts. Yes I am a stupid teenager but I'm not a stupid teenager that complains about everything in a blog. Also, I don't crave tea, I'm more a hot chocolate kind of girl.

Most importantly, this is my blog and I am going to share my happiness whether you like it or not. So if you've got something negative to say, here is not the place to say it. I'll only accept praises of love or constructive criticism. So if you hate me already... go blog about how your life sucks... and don't share it here!

Here is a drawing of a panda I did for a friend. Drawn with pencil, copic multi-liners and, copic markers :)

Yepp, its about 3 -4 weeks old now. Finally getting used to it. Don't think I'll be getting short hair again.

A better shot of the hair.

Comfort.

I usually slip on any pair of shoes to take the clothes off the line. Wether it be my brothers thongs that are sitting at the back door or the pair of heels i wore out last night that I dumped on my bedroom floor before crashing into bed. Any shoe will do, as long as my feet are protected from the gravel below the clothes line.

Todays choice of shoe was the pair of crocs I bought years ago for rowing and sailing. As we are all aware, Crocs are a bit of a fashion failure and that no real fashionista would want to be seen public wearing them. But despite the style taboo that crocs are, there is a certain level of comfort that sets them apart from your ordinary flip flop or sandal. While unpegging my parents underpants and resting my feet on the soft rubbery material below them my mind pondered about how fashionable is fashion if its not comfortable.

How attractive is picking a wedgie every five minutes,  adjusting your skirt because it keeps riding up or tugging on your shirt every time you feel a breeze over your midriff. Or how about low riding jeans that reveal a little crack every time you bend over. Think thats attractive? Because I don't. Too often do I see people in the latest fashion hiking up their jeans and stopping to fix their shoe. Those glamorous new pair of heels look amazing until the girl starts complaining about how much pain she is in and her foot starts bleeding from blisters. Lets face it, our clothes look just as awkward as it feels to wear them.

Personally if somethings feels comfortable to wear then my confidence grows too. I don't have to be conscious about constantly adjusting my clothing. It just feels better and looks better. So heres some advice. When shopping for clothes or shoes always make sure its comfortable and hassle free. Even if it means going with the size up or buying the more expensive one. You won't regret it in the end. Heck, I will never regret buying that pair of crocs =P

Another Saturday.

Today I woke up at 5:30 am to go to work. As the sun was rising i left my house to walk to work.  The birds were loud. I didn't really enjoy the walk.

Work was boring.

Finished at 1:30~

After work my sister and I went shopping!
Todays purchases include:

Miss Shop top $25 - Front

Miss Shop Top - Back. Love the bow detail.

Miss Shop Jumpsuit $17.20 (On sale)

Tyra the Hippo $4 (from Vinnies =P)

Me and Tyra

I named Tyra after Tyra Banks because Tyra is fierce just like Tyra Banks.

I have a lovely collection and fluffy cuddlebles from Vinnies. Its the best place to buy second hand soft toys. I love it because its like giving the toy a new home. Kinda like adopting! And its cheap. I could never let go of a fluffy friend after seeing Toy Story 3.

To end my Saturday I went to my old friends 18th birthday party. It was 90's themed. My costume was pretty rockin. I wore blue overalls with an oversized patterned shirt I borrowed from Dad.  I might post photos later if I can be bothered.
